Banner for Call for Paper: Doctoral Workshop on Comparative Social Policy at Universitat Pompeu Fabra
Join us in Barcelona for the second Early Career and Doctoral Workshop on Comparative Social and Public Policy, hosted by the Department of Political and Social Sciences at Universitat Pompeu Fabra. This two-day, in-person event (May 8–9, 2025) invites doctoral and early-career researchers to connect and share insights on comparative social policy, labor markets, migration, health, and family policies. Present your work, gain feedback from senior scholars, and engage in stimulating discussions with peers from diverse perspectives.
The workshop is organized by Juliana Fornasier, Mireia López Álvarez, Florencia Olivares G., and Javier Sánchez Busó, with the guidance of Dr. Alba Lanau and Dr. Simone Schneider. It is supported by the PERGAP project, funded by the European Research Council (ERC) under the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme (ERC Starting Grant 2021).
Submit a 250-word abstract by February 2, 2025, to be considered. Accepted participants will be required to submit a draft paper, prepare a 20-minute presentation, and review a colleague’s work. While travel and accommodation are not covered, coffee breaks and lunch will be provided.
