The PERGAP project invites applications for student assistant positions at the Max Planck Institute for Social Law and Social Policy in Munich.
The successful candidate will support the project’s communication activities and digital presence.
Tasks include:
- Supporting the PERGAP website and social media presence
- Identifying and curating relevant research and news
- Supporting communication about PERGAP’s research activities
- Tracking new research in the fields of social policy, institutions, inequality, and public opinion
We are looking for:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s students in a social science-related discipline at a German university, preferably in Munich
- Strong academic performance
- Interest in science communication and digital media
- Experience with content management systems such as WordPress is an advantage
- Willingness to learn tools for tracking new research
- Experience with Python, R, or research APIs is an additional advantage
- Good command of English; additional languages are welcome
The position offers the opportunity to become part of an international and interdisciplinary research environment and gain practical experience in communicating research from a major European project on inequality, welfare-state institutions, and public opinion.
The position is offered for up to 8 hours per week and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
